Orumé Hays
Controller & General Manager
Orumé Hays graduated from University of Benin, Nigeria, with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology & Anthropology. Years later she attained a second bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the City University of New York. She currently works as a Controller & General Manager for a thriving business in New York.
Her management executive background includes extensive hands-on experience in financial and accounting management of multi-state operations. She is an expert in establishing accounting tasks, in implementing accounting systems, processes, and controls that significantly improve work flow, and profit and loss performance.
Orumé has worked in a variety of industries including banking, food, and entertainment. She is a Certified Public Accountant, and is a member in the following professional organizations:
- New York State Society of CPAs
- The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
- Chartered Global Management Accountant
Orumé is a board member and the Treasurer for the University of Benin Alumni Association, North America.
Volunteerism for local causes in one of Orumé’s passions, and she gave a hand at TEDxTimesSquare inaugural event in April 2013.
