In 2011 Collin McLoughlin made his presence felt after his first release “Chasing Dreams” reached over 350,000 Youtube views in a few short months. Building from the success of his Youtube cover series (over fifteen million views to date) his original sound, pairing electronic elements with classic acoustic melodies, serves as a unique canvas for his story telling nature and approach to songwriting.

Collin’s soulful voice and true to life lyrics resonate with a broad audience. Every song he writes is grounded in a real situation, constantly inspired by his life’s journey and its relation to those around him. These universal themes are revealed through credible story lines and melodic hooks layered over toe-tapping, electronic rhythms. Collin’s positive, upbeat energy is infectious and resonates through his music, live performances, and his life in total.

His previous band, Nautical Young, opened for K’naan, Wale, Lupe Fiasco, Fabolous, Brother Ali and Hypercrush during the Spring of 2010. In 2011, he opened for college rap sensation Sam Adams at sold out large scale venues like The House Of Blues in Boston. His loyal college fan base continues to book Collin for headlining shows which vary in size and venue from small acoustic performances to larger dance festivals.

Collin recently released his much anticipated EP entitled Stark Perspective, a collection of four self written and produced tracks recorded in his bedroom. The EP combines elements of electronic dance music and acoustic singer-songwriting genres. It is a melodic blend of synthetic and acoustic elements. The melodies are Collins classic trademark overlaying a unique voice, with true to life, lyrics.

In 2012 Collin auditioned for Season 3 of the Voice, and ended up turning around three chairs with his rendition of Cat Steven’s “Wild World,” ultimately securing a spot on Adam Levine’s team. (the audition can be viewed here ) Adam mentioned that he has arguably the best pitch of any singer he has ever heard, and Collin credits Adam’s mentoring as one of the most influential experiences of his career thus far.

Collin is currently working on his next project, building off the beginnings of Stark Perspective into a more up-tempo combination of electronic and acoustic elements.
