SVP Global Communications for Donna Karan International;
Voice of DKNY Social Media
Aliza Licht graduated the University of Maryland as a Francis Scott Key Scholar with a B.S. in Neurobiology and Physiology in 1996, with dreams of becoming a plastic surgeon. After deciding she couldn’t spend a life in scrubs, she decided to pursue her childhood love for fashion and started in the magazine industry. After two years in editorial, Licht decided to make the jump to public relations where she joined Donna Karan International in 1998. She is currently the senior vice president of global communications.
In 2009, Licht took on social media on top of her traditional PR responsibilities and created “DKNY PR GIRL”, the company’s award winning social media personality that she is the singular voice of. With over 435,000 organic Twitter followers to date, DKNY PR GIRL (@dkny) is known for her engaging, real and ‘never scheduled’ posts and commentary.
